Overall Attic is the space or room at the top of a building, under the roof, often used for storing things. Overall Attic is a required photo to obtain measurements for engineering services.
Top cord measurements depict the spacing between support beams. The top chord spans from bottom to diagonal and diagonal to peak.
Rafter spacing is the horizontal distance between the parallel rafters measured from one rafter's center to the next one. Rafter Spacing is a required measurement to complete engineering services.
Vaulted Ceilings consists of a self-supporting arch between the walls and roof. It typically matches the roof pitch but does not always follow the pitch of the roof.
The wood grade stamp of top cord is the type of wood used to construct the attic. This the wood type used as the rafter attached to the roof plywood.
Rafter depth is the vertical distance between the top and bottom edges of a roof rafter. Rafter Depth is a required measurement to complete engineering services.
A flat roof is characterized by its minimal pitch, often having a slope of 5 degrees or less. These projects require additional photo documentation.
For all post install letters, we require pictures to verify that the installation followed the plans. Please provide pictures of structural items before, during, and after installation of the panels.
